11 Months Old!

This happy little girl is 11 months old today! What a fun 11 months this has been!
She loves crawling...EVERYWHERE.

She tends to get into everything...and put whatever she finds in her mouth.

She is pretty much eating what we eat, though sometimes Gerber is just easier to transport if we're going to be out for lunch. It's kind of nice to just chop dinner up and give it to her...but MUCH messier. She's gotta learn somehow, though, right?!

Her newest 'trick' is standing on her own. I didn't catch a picture of her doing that in this set of pictures, but she thinks she's somethin' when she stands all by herself. Walking is next, I'm sure...

She is rarely content to just sit anymore. She wants to be moving, standing, looking, playing...or getting into things :)

She is a bit 'clingy' right now, but is usually fine with other people...as long as mommy and daddy aren't in sight.

She loves walking around with anything that she can push. Currently this little chair is doing the trick for her.

She walks all over the place with it...until she runs into the wall. Then she cries until we come and turn her around and she walks some more.

In case you were wondering about the adorable dress, my mom made it for her. SO cute! Plus she made this super cute cloth diaper cover to match. LOVE IT! It's handy to have a mom that's so crafty :)

Leah is so much fun to be around.

She's such a happy baby.

She's very curious and quick to learn new things. She's figured out so many of her toys already :)

So far the words that she has said are Momma, Dadda, yeah, hi, and ouch...though I've only gotten her to say ouch one day, so it might have been a fluke, but I'm going to 'count' it.

She is currently nursing three times a day, and eating three meals a day. She takes 2 (short!) naps and sleeps 11 hours at night.

Her favorite foods are peas, cheese, and grapes, but she will pretty much eat just about anything.

She has four teeth with another just about to poke through. We've started brushing her teeth at night, and she LOVES it. Who wouldn't, though, with apple banana flavored toothpaste?

She's (for the most part) in 18 month clothes, but can still fit into some 12 month things...and can already fit into some 24 month stuff. (Who sizes baby clothes?!)

We keep her in dresses most of the time, because it's just cute :)

She LOVES her brother, and could probably watch him all day. One of my FAVORITE things is when she gets giggling at him :)

The good news is, her brother loves her too :)

Fun at the Park

When Edgar got home from work Thursday night we ate dinner and then headed to the park for some fun. It's SO hot here but we thought go anyway. Eli going down the big slide!

A Baseball Date

When the Tiger's come to town I always try and get to at least one game. Fortunately, Edgar's mom was able to stay with the kids and Edgar and I got to go to the game without the kids. We had a lot of fun. We got there really early so we were able to watch some of the players hit batting practice. We saw Miguel Cabrera...not my favorite player in the world, but still kinda cool that we got to see him up close.

Valverde closed out the game...made it a little more exciting that it probably should have been, but the Tiger's won :) Evan Longoria hit a home run in the 9th, and it landed quite literally 3 rows in front of us. My mom and dad saw us on TV :) Does that make us famous? Haha. Kidding.

We had a really nice evening together...failed to get a picture of the two of us...but oh well :) We'll be sure to go again next year!!

Gymnastics Birthday Party

A friend of ours had a birthday party for her little girl at a gymnastics gym. Edgar stayed at home with Leah and Eli and I went for some fun :) I thought Eli would love the foam pit...but in the end I had to throw him in...then he never went in again :)

There was a lot of equipment for the kids to climb on and have fun on. Eli seemed to have a really good time-I might have to sign him up for gymnastics this fall :)

Getting Closer!

Leah is getting so close to walking...she can stand on her own for several seconds before grabbing something, and has recently discovered this 'walker' thing. Enjoy a couple of videos of her!

Eric & Leilani's Shower

There is another baby in this family that is about to arrive! Eric and Leilani are expecting #2 in just a few weeks (if not sooner!!) We had a shower for them with family and close friends. Krista made the cake (She's such a pro-seriously!)
I made cake pops (Fun...challenging...tedious...but I'll try them again :) )

and cookies (of course!)

Krista brought some cute little baby socks with kisses inside (of the chocolate variety)...and mom made most of the food. There was TONS of food-all delicious!

Leah was oh so happy to eat! (And so was I, quite honestly)

Eli is taking after his Uncle Ryan...ya know...reading a book whenever he can :)

We had a wonderful afternoon with each other. We took time to pray for Eric & Leilani...and Isaac too :) We can't wait to meet him!!!
