My beaytiful kids!

*sigh* Every parent should think their kids are the cutest in the whole world...and I am no exception :)

The last few days

Just a few pictures from the last couple of days. This picture made me laugh. Lately, Eli has been wanting to hold Leah...a lot. She goes along with it for the most part. I love to watch him snuggle her...but at times I fear for her life :) Apparently, by the look on her face, she is a little concerned too.
Yesterday we went to the park. Eli's favorite spot is the swing.

Today we went to a different park. It was a little over a mile away, so we got a good walk in first...well...I got a walk in. The kids just got pushed in the stroller :) The park was nice-the stuff was a little 'old' for Eli...but it was fun. We spent most of the time on the swings :)

We headed for home, had lunch and the kids took a nap.

After dinner tonight we went outside to play for a while.

Apparently my kids like to show off their belly...

Every time we play outside this is what our driveway looks like :)

We went inside and Eli got in the tub :) He got to take a nice long bath where he used his tub crayons. Fun times.

He loves his bubble bath :)

Edgar got home late tonight. He's been working super hard lately (well...he always works hard!) He's home now...hopefully he gets a day off tomorrow!

No big plans for the weekend. Kind of excited about that. It's been a while since we've had NOTHING going on for a weekend. Maybe I'll get the house cleaned...or maybe not...

This and that

Not too much going on today. Just a normal Tuesday. The biggest event of the day was when Eli bit Leah's finger so hard he left teeth prints and bit through the first layer of skin. Lovely. She cried pretty hard. She's fine. I really don't think he meant to hurt her-he seemed kinda scared when she started screaming. And then he cried when he got punished. And then he was mad that he was put to bed. Hopefully he won't bite again. We'll see...

Today, in an attempt to eat something sweet, I made a bagel, smeared peanut butter on it, and then sprinkled chocolate chips on it. It was delicious. I really need to go grocery shopping, though...because peanut butter and chocolate chips are about all we have in the house. It could be worse, I suppose :) We got out Leah's exosaucer that we got at a consignment sale. She likes it. She still likes her 'jumpy' thing better, but this is a fun change for her.

My mom also sent her this diaper cover that she made-so cute! It's fun to know she can make those for her :) Now if I make Leah a dress, she can make a matching diaper cover...ya know...cuz a girl's gotta match :)

Edgar and I are sitting here, both on our computers...and that is our evening. I am actually thinking about going to bed...at 9:00...Not sure why I'm so tired. But when I think about it...I've been tired my whole life. Ask my mom. I can always use a nap :)

Music please?

I have a request. If you could please suggest some songs that are good to run to, I would greatly appreciate it. My running play list is the same as the one I used when I ran the Dallas Marathon...and that was a very long time ago (2004? Can't remember...). I NEED some new music. Though I still love running to MC Hammer and the Spice Girls...and any Rocky music. Just leave any suggestion you have in the comment section, or send me an e-mail :)

'Liva's house

This morning we went over to Christine's house to hang out. I didn't get the camera out until the very end of the visit, so I didn't get pictures of Eli playing with Angela's ceramic birds, or them fighting over the Handy Many tools, or chasing each other with the stroller. I did, however, get pictures of Eli throwing dirt everywhere...

And when I tried to get pictures of Olivia, she would only pose in the chair :)

She's so cute!!

She also got to hold Leah a couple of times. She LOVES babies :)

We had loads 'o fun, and Eli was wiped out by the time we left. Leah...not so much, but Eli took a good nap :)

Sleep In Heavenly Peace...

This morning Leah slept until 8:20. I got to sleep until 7:00...until Eli crawled in bed with me and played until 7:30 when I got up. Did I mention Leah slept until 8:20? I haven't slept in that late without getting up in the night for a very long time (though Leah no longer nurses in the night, she usually wakes up and needs her pacifier...more on that later...). We got up and got ready to go to the class I teach. I got Eli dressed, then realized it was pretty warm out, so I took the hooded sweatshirt off...

...but apparently he wanted it on...hood and all. I'm thinking he's a Michigan fan (Go Blue!)

On the way home he was apparently wiped out...I love that he is using his cup as an elbow rest...and you can see bits of granola bar on his lip :)

Leah was out too. Pretty blurry picture of her. I was taking these as I stopped at red lights, and I can't see Leah while I'm driving, so I took this one kinda blind. I posted it only because it's so cute to see her sucking her thumb :)

I think I've created a monster, however. This is how Leah MUST sleep. She's swaddled so tight, and the blanket has to come up and hold the pacifier in. She'll sleep in the car seat, but if she's in bed, she's gotta be swaddled...and when she works her way out, she wakes up...which is fine, unless it's 2 am. Then it's annoying.

She looks like a little mummy :)

Did I mention she slept until 8:20 this morning? Without waking up in the night? Oh I did? Sorry.

We'll work on breaking the 'swaddling' habit another night. Tonight she's snuggled up tight :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope your Valentine's Day was lovely :) Leah borrowed her brother's bib...(He wore it HERE)
She's getting so big! Sorry...no pictures of Eli. He was running around all day, and I just didn't get any of him.
Edgar got me flowers for Valentines Day. So pretty :) I love having fresh flowers in the house. He knows that. He did good :)
Leah went for her 4 month appointment today. She is now 27 in. long (99th percentile) 16 lb 6 oz (91st percentile) and her head is 16 inches around (30th percentile...) She's good and healthy...with a small head :) She got 2 shots, but did amazingly well. Very few tears, and the she fell asleep on the way home.
This afternoon was spent baking Ben's birthday cookies (almost done!) and making chicken pot pie. Then tonight I tutored a girl in Algebra I. It's been a while since I've tutored one-on-one, and I had fun doing it. I kinda miss it :)
And that was our day.

I have tried several times to upload a video...but I think it is entirely too huge (231,000 KB...) so I am going to give up and just tell you :)

Leah rolled over for the first time last night. And has since rolled over a bunch of times today. I actually caught her VERY FIRST roll over on video. But you can't see it, because the file is too big. Unless you want to come over to my house and see it. Too bad for those of you that live too far away ;)

Just a couple pics

I was going through pictures tonight, trying to get them organized...there are so many I wish I would have posted...I still might post a few, but these were a couple that I thought you'd enjoy seeing :) Really trying to do better with keeping the blog updated...the big problem is, our internet slows WAY down at night, and that is when I can usually post...and it takes for.e.ver to upload...so that's why I haven't been posting as often.
