Don't worry...there are only 18 pictures and one video on THIS 'catch-up' post...

Every time I post lately, I think 'I need to stop getting behind on my posts'...and then a week goes by and I still don't post. *sigh* SO, here is yet another whirlwind view of what this little family has been doing... We've been doin' some dancing...with no pants on. Okay...so only Eli does that. He loves these beads I got for St. Patrick's day, and wears them around. He's also grown quite fond of the no pants look...He HAS finally learned how to dance :) Gotta catch that on video...

We went to the Aquarium with some friends.

Eli loves this place.

Although, now that he can walk, he's a little harder to keep up with. At what age do they learn to hold your hand?!

I had Isaac with us that day too. I learned a very important lesson that day...never attempt to go to the Aquarium with 2 kids alone...fortunately I had lots of other moms to help me out :)

Eli also had been enjoying 'helping' daddy with all of his projects around the house. Eli discovered power tools...oh boy...

Every time he would push the button down he would look up and say 'Woah!' It was pretty cute.

Until his thumbs got tired, and then he just got mad.

We've gone to the park several times,

though I'm pretty sure Eli would be content with a sandbox and a stick...that's pretty much all he plays with at the park.

Today we celebrated Edgar's birthday (he was sick the weekend of his birthday...) Edgar always requests a cookie cake as opposed to a 'traditional' cake, so this is what he got :) Very easy to make and decorate, so I never complain :)

He BARELY got all of the candles out, but he DID blow them out in one breath.

A very sweaty Eli playing with Isaac too! 'GENTLE, ELI!' Somehow I think that phrase is going to be heard an awful lot around our house in about 28 weeks...

Other 'things' that happened in the past week...I had my 12-week appointment and heard the baby's heartbeat. It's beating good and strong at 150 bpm. We have an ultrasound this Friday, and apparently as long as the baby cooperates, we'll know the sex of the baby. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it would be pretty cool to know this early. Especially since it might take us a VERY long time to agree on a name.

Edgar is feeling much better-he had a rough go of it there for a few days. He's 'recovered' and has been working really hard. He finished the closet in the office, and it looks GREAT. Lots of storage room. I need to take some pictures...

I can't really think of anything else at this particular moment, so I think I will go. I am going to do my best to do better posting-I'm starting to get my energy back somewhat...Now watch, tomorrow I'll be completely wiped out :) Some of it may have to do with the fact that I've been able to stomach coffee lately...that seems to really help with the exhaustion :)

This last video (if it will ever load...) is one of Eli feeding himself. He has fed himself his oatmeal the last two days...it's a little messy, but he gets the job done! Way to go big guy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! (a day late...)

Yesterday Eli and I had a bunch of friends over for St. Patrick's Day. We hosted the party for the mommy group I am a part of. There were 7 moms and 9 kids...so we had a full house! It was a lot of fun. There was a BUNCH of green food (which I failed to take a picture of...) and lots of green clothing. The party was suppose to be at the park, but because of rainy weather, we moved it here...so I didn't really have many decorations up...but the food was decoration enough I suppose. Here are a few pictures of our fun day! This little guy is super cute. He LOVED playing the piano and was devastated when we had to close it up...cuz it was getting pretty loud.
Eli is walking like a pro now...though he usually walks with his hands up like that. I think he is so used to holding on to someones hand, that that's how he thinks he's suppose to walk...

This mommy has a little guy...not a year old yet...and she's pregnant with TWIN boys. I get tired just thinking about her...

This was one of only 2 girls there...the other girl was her 6 month old sister.

Eli played hard with all of his friends. He was wiped OUT when everyone left. I was all excited that he would take a nice long nap...not to be. He slept for just over an hour, but at least he took a nap, right?!...hmmmm....

This and That

I'm still feeling a little behind with posting things...We went to a birthday party on Saturday. Yet another kiddo turning one :) (Happy Birthday Creed!) I have pictures...will post them as soon as I get them off my camera :)

Sunday after church Edgar cleaned out the gutters all afternoon, and Eli and I enjoyed playing outside in the GORGEOUS weather. It was the perfect temperature. Eli thoroughly enjoyed playing with sticks, and grass, and the hose (mess...) in the back yard.

Monday, Eli and I met some friends at the park. We stayed there for over 2 hours watching our kids playing, and talking. A friend of mine is pregnant, and we are only about a week apart, so it's fun comparing pregnancies :) She is WAY sicker than I am, though...I feel bad for her. Hopefully she'll be over her morning sickness soon.

Tuesday afternoon we went to a new play place here in town. These pictures were taken with my phone, so they aren't the best quality, but you'll get the idea :) Eli loved this little truck. He had so much fun in it. He could only go backwards, but he did that for a while :)
This place had dress up clothes for the kids too. I thought he looked so cute in this little fireman outfit.

The main attraction was the bounce houses...Eli didn't really love that part as much-he's still a little small for it. But we got in for a while. Notice...I say WE. Ya...

Eli enjoyed the kitchen area.

But kept going back to the TV room...he's an addict... :)

Wednesday was fairly uneventful. I had a dentist appointment. Edgar got sick :( He's still a little blah...He took the day off today-which means he REALLY doesn't feel well. He didn't even log in. A sure sign...Today has been spent calling doctors, filling his prescription, playing with Eli, and getting my blood drawn...I hate needles. Have I even mentioned that?

This first one is from last week. The Lawrence Welk show came on PBS, and Eli was completely enthralled. He'll have to spend some time with Grandpa Tuinstra next time we go home-apparently they have a common interest :)


And this last video is one of my favorites. Eli can't seem to stay awake during lunch anymore. Apparently I am not making 'exciting' enough meals for him...This has been the scene every day this week:

Busy?...or just lazy...

Lately evening comes, and I think about posting something to blogger, but I usually opt to either head to bed early, or zone out in front of the the TV...so I'm pretty behind. SO, I've crammed a bunch of stuff from the past week into one giant post :) On Sunday the 28th we went to Abuelo's house for his birthday.
We were all dressed up from church :)

Wednesday we went to a friend's house to play. Megan LOVED posing for the camera :)

Friday we got to watch Isaac all day. Eli loved 'playing' with him. He kept smiling at him and talking to him. I think I said the word 'GENTLE' about a million times...
