8.15.2012 Children's Museum

One of our family activities this summer was to visit the local children's museum.

 

The dance area is always a favorite with my two kiddos :)

 

 Here's a quick video showing off their moves :)

 

 Leah enjoyed filling up her cart at the pretend grocery store.

 

 Eli enjoyed the area where you could drive the cars around the city (big surprise :) )

 

 One of Eli's favorite spots is the little theater.  He was picking the sound effect he wanted...

 

 ...and then acting out his scene :)  (He picked his costume out :) )

 

We headed downstairs to the water area.

 

 This rain coat did little to keep Leah dry, but she sure looked cute it in :)

 

 Eli spent the most of his time in the water area putting these balls on this little path thing.

We had loads of fun, and look forward to going back soon!

8.8.2012 Just because...

Eli's really good about going to bed.  He goes right to his room most nights and we don't hear a peep out of him until morning...unless he takes a nap.  Then he doesn't fall asleep until 10.  He stays in his room...he's relatively quiet, but he's awake.  So when he went to bed this night after having a nap during the day, he apparently decided to quietly play with his cars...

...and this is how I found him when I checked on him before I went to bed.

Sweet dreams little guy :)
