Pumkin Patch

It would seem it's time to visit the pumkin patch :) We took Eli yesterday for his first visit to the Pumkin patch near our church. It wasn't as big as the one Krista or Renae just went to but I still managed to take 200 pictures...that could be because I was playing with a new camera (that story to come later...

Anyway...I put some pictures in a collage, because there were just so many of them...and the rest are some of my favorites :)

We had so much fun. You'll notice in the first set of pictures that Olivia was there too. John & Christine joined us for the first bit, and we got some more pictures of Eli & Olivia...ya can never have enough!

Yes, we did buy a pumpkin...now I just have to decide what to do with it...

Okay...so I have a bunch of stuff to do today-one thing being getting my blog up to date. I have 4 posts to do...We've had lots of fun activities this weekend :) BUT, I'm not going to get to it for a while today...if at all, SO I thought I'd put at least one picture up-just so ya don't miss us :)

Today we met up with a friend of ours to take some pictures of Eli. She has an awesome camera and took a bunch of pictures for us. This is one of over 200 that we have to go through :) I'm so excited to go through them all...not so excited about picking which ones we'll use to print off :)

I debated whether or not to get rid of the sand on his little feet, but decided it only added to the picture :)

My favorite picture, I think was #5, and I would have used it if that glare wasn't in it...it was so bright when I was taking the pictures I couldn't see my screen, so I couldn't tell that I was catching that glare in most of my shots. Oh well. Maybe someday I'll get so good at photoshop I'll figure how to take that out... :)

So....it's 6:45, and I've already run...3 miles...36 min. 58 sec :( These morning runs are really hard to get a good pace going...especially since it is 79 degrees. I drove past a bank yesterday at 11:00 am and it said it was 95 degrees. It's SO hot! The weatherman keeps saying we're getting a cold front Friday...then we'll only have a high of 80. I'll take it!

I need your help!

Today has been another busy day-and it's only noon! I got up a bit late...headed for the DMV to get a tag for a trailer, went to the book fair at Ryan (and Ben & Carly's) school, and went to Babie's R Us. While I was at Ryan (and Ben & Carly's) school, I took some pictures of Eli for his birthday invitations. I need help. These are 5 of about 40 I took...Which one do you like best? I haven't really edited them at all-I just cropped them a bit. I can probably lighten the shadows some, and do a couple of other things to them, but I want to pick one before I do all that to it :) SO, tell me which one you like. Please. I need to send the picture off tomorrow...

Another Monday

Today has been a busy day! I got up bright (well..not so bright) and early and ran before Edgar left for work. It was an okay run...I felt good initially, but I'm fairly sure there was lead in my shoes. I just couldn't get going! I tried to pick up the pace on the second half, but succeeded only in making myself feel sick. I had to walk the last 2/10 of a mile...I KNOW! I only had .2 miles left, and I couldn't finish. Oh well...it was early... :)

I got ready for my day, got Eli up a little early, and we were out the door by 8-headed over to get an oil change. We got there and were informed there were at least 20 cars ahead of us, and it would be at least a 4 hour wait. SO, we decided to go back another day :) Apparently because of the holiday they were busy. We went to the Verizon store and got my phone all set up and came back home. I got some much neglected work done, and made about a billion phone calls. Seriously, I think I was on the phone all day. Some of them were fun calls, some of them were 'I gotta make this appointment' calls. I also went grocery shopping, which Eli always enjoys. I think it's because everyone that passes him by talks to him and makes him smile.

Eli was highly entertaining today. He was SO talkative today! Here's a little video of him talking to his puppets that Krista got for him. He loves those things! He likes it when they are on my hands, but he usually pulls them off so he can kiss on them :)

I decided today was the day to cut back to nursing only twice a day (been doing 3 times). It went really good. I don't think Eli even noticed. I did give him some whole milk with his snack when he got up, and didn't seem to mind it too much. He did his funny little 'blinking' thing, which he does whenever he's not sure of something, but drank about 2-3 ounces, so that was good. I gave it to him straight from the refrigerator in a sippy cup. He didn't mind it cold, I don't think, which is good...cuz I don't feel like warming up milk...

By the way, I didn't win the lens. So sad :( Oh well...I guess I should buy a camera first :) I probably should get some work done...I told my students I would have their grades posted 4 days ago...oops...
