For fear of Jennifer getting us a monkey, I decided I should probably take a moment this morning and post some pictures of our tile :)
Over Memorial Day weekend, Edgar and his dad worked SO hard to get our kitchen tile done. They did it! And it looks wonderful. Though I will miss our concrete kitchen floor... ;)
Here's Edgar laying the very first tile.
I learned the importance of spacers in this whole process...
...and I never knew you had to hammer tile with a cool rubber mallet to get all of the air out. Fun to watch...not so sure it was as much fun to do, but oh well. It's done.

My 'contribution' was taking care of the kids and keeping them out of the kitchen. We had fun going to the pool and hanging out with Jennifer (and the rest of her family). Eli did really good about staying off the kitchen floor. Though at one point I told him 'Don't walk on the floor!' so he proceeded to crawl on it. I guess he didn't disobey...but he kinda missed my point ;)
Dad laying the LAST tile. YAY!
A job well done! We still need to get the transition piece-I got one, but didn't realize I needed a hard wood transition piece, not laminate. Oh well. We'll get it eventually...
And the laundry room. (This room got painted too...though I don't know if you can tell from this picture or not)
And finally, I leave you with a picture of Leah from last night. I risked waking her up last night to take this picture of her surrounded by her pacifiers. She likes to have a lot of them in bed with her at night so she can switch them every 2 seconds. Hilarious. It does keep her occupied in the morning when she wakes up-she'll play in her crib with them for quite a while...so it's worth it to have her 'stocked up' :)

He told me he was going to do a 'happy dance' when the tile and back splash were done. I'm waiting to get a video of that. Not sure when we are going to get to the back splash...hopefully soon.
