As some of you know, I am currently going to cake decorating classes, and this class we are learning to make all sorts of different kinds of flowers...so Krista (my sister-in-law) told me about this site (etsy.com) where you can sell handmade crafts...so here goes nothing! I've decided to try and sell a few of these flowers online. They are made of icing that gets really hard--it's a lot like those sugar candy things you can buy in the store to put on cakes. Anyway, I am going to start by selling them 12 for $6.00, and see how that goes. They are pretty easy to make, and I spent the afternoon making daisies, apple blossoms, primroses, violets, chrysanthemums (I feel like Anne Shirley when I try and spell that...) and drop flowers. It was fun, but I'm pretty sick of icing right now.If you would like some, I'd be happy to send them to you :) (family gets the 'just pay for shipping' discount :) ) I decided if these don't sell I'll just make some really cute cupcakes. The nice thing is, these last for a year if you keep them in a cool, dry place...so they shouldn't go bad.
Anyway...I putting a couple other pictures on, and then I really need to clean up the disaster I have in the kitchen before Edgar gets home!
