5.25.2012 The Little Guys

Just a couple of pictures from Friday :)

 Leah loves this little swing set.  (Which makes me believe she would love a big play set in our backyard... :) )

 She also enjoys Grandpa's hammock.  (Although she's fallen off it a couple of times.  Good thing the grass is soft in Michigan.

5.24.2012 Visiting Grandpa

On Thursday we went up to visit Grandpa.

Mom had talked to his nurse that day and she said he was having a good day.  He was all dressed and ready to go when we got there.

 We took him out to the courtyard for a little fresh air.

 Eli gave Grandpa a hug.

 Leah was a little timid and didn't want to give him a hug, so she ran around in the courtyard entertaining all of us.

 Grandpa seemed to be in a really good mood, and enjoyed the sun.

Such a special man, and such a privilege to bring my children to see him!

5.23.2012 Wednesday

Wednesday was a quiet day in Michigan. 

Eli read my book...ha.  Just kidding.  He did, however, look at my book for a very long time, flipping the pages. 

 Eli went outside at one point in the day, moved the chair to where it should be, and climbed onto the trampoline all by himself.  I was very impressed.  Perhaps that's not a huge deal, but it's the first time I've seen him do that.

He also has been jumping on the trampoline...like, really jumping.  Not bouncing, which is what he's done in the past.  His feet actually leave the ground.  He thinks it's so funny to jump up, and then land on his butt.  He has so much fun on the trampoline.  If they didn't petrify me a bit, I'd think about getting one of our own, but for now I'm content to just have one at grandma's house.

5.21.2012 Just another day in paradise.

May in Michigan has been gorgeous.  The weather has been so nice-the kids have loved playing outside.

 On Monday we went up to Rick & Kristi's house and played there for a while.  Eli was VERY interested in Matthias' bike.

 Leah got a ride from Julean in the wagon.  Leah loves Julean-he's so sweet with her.

 Like I said...he loved the bike.  Loved looking at it, playing with it...though he couldn't really ride it.  But he tried...and fell a few times.  So he stopped trying.

 We had lunch there, and then headed back to the farm.  After naps the kiddos went for a little jumping fun on the trampoline.

 There was a lot of bouncing around.  The kids loved it.

 Leah thinks it's so funny when she gets bounced all over the place.

 She does her share of jumping too.

 All with big smiles :)

The kids had a great time enjoying this gorgeous weather!

5.20.2012 Because everyone needs their picture taken when they get a new dress...

We went shopping.  Now many of you know how much I really dislike shopping.  HOWEVER, I have found a new reason to like shopping...

...and her name is Leah.

 We went to Kohl's and found about 100 cute dresses for little girls.  I used some restraint, but fell in love with this one:)

 I think she knows she looks cute :)

 Or maybe she was just excited to see Sam (She is crazy about that dog.  The only problem is, her favorite thing is to get right in his face so he will lick her face...makes me nervous.  She thinks it's hilarious.)

And because I have been photoshopless (pretty sure that's a word, although blogger's spellchecker disagreess) Randee edited this one for me.  This was my favorite of her edits :)

5.20.2012 Fun with Eli

Sunday after church we came home and had lunch.  Leah went down for a nap, so Eli and I went outside to play.  (Mom and Dad were gone for the weekend at 2 weddings, so it was just us)

 He played in the sprinkler for a while,

 but the water was pretty cold.

 So he did a lot of watching the water...

 So we got in the pool instead.

Now, when I say 'we' I mean he got in the pool.  I stayed out of the water and read my book.

Eli played in the water all by himself for an hour.  He LOVED it :)

There's a new band in town.

They're pretty loud good.
