12.16.2011 Happy Birthday Isaac & Eliott!

This year Isaac had a birthday buddy.
Eliott and Isaac's birthday's are close together, so we celebrated together...but they still got their own cake :) Two of Krista's specialties :)

12.10.2011 Krista's Baby Shower

We are so excited that Krista and Eliott are having a baby. Our family has been praying for them for 3 years now. God, in perfect timing, chose now to bless them with little Jacob. He's only weeks from making an appearance, so the family wanted to have a small shower for them. Now...when the family cake maker is the one you are throwing the shower for, what do you do? You make cupcakes, of course :)

As the day went on, a crew of people went to the park. Mom, Leilani, Krista and I stayed back and chatted. So I don't have any pictures of the park...

...but apparently it wore Leah out :)

It was a very special day for our family. We had a beautiful time of prayer for Eliott, Krista, Katie, and Jacob, and wonderful conversations throughout the day...and there was some good food mixed in as well :)

We continue to pray that Jacob will grow and make his big appearance in early February!

12.9.2011 Children's Musical

This year we had (almost) front row seats to the Christmas Musical at church. Carly had a big part in the play, and Ben had a solo. They did awesome. Eli LOVED watching his cousins and danced along to the music. Leah enjoyed it too...though she was mostly interested in the music...and the dancing.
My camera battery died after I took 3 pictures, but I'm so glad I got this one of Ben in his cool glasses. Edgar made the comment that he looks like Ken...ya know, from Barbie and Ken. He's a good lookin' kid!

12.4.2011 Christmas Party

After we were done taking pictures we went to a Christmas party with some friends of mine. The organizers put on a great party. Eli loved the craft table. Leah enjoyed running around.
There were even some games. Not sure who won this match of musical chairs, but the kids had fun!

The kids played Simon Says as well. Pretty sure Eli & Leah just watched.

Santa Claus even came!

12.04.2011 Picture Day

After church on Sunday we headed to a beautiful park (where Edgar's brother got married) and took some family pictures. Jennifer was kind enough to snap the photos...she's quite good. Of course, there's very little she's NOT good at :)

Even with a scowl he's cute :) I really thought this was going to be his expression for all of our pictures...

...but he warmed up to the camera. Tickling helps.

Seriously...I have the cutest kids ever. Eli LOVES to hold her sister. Although, when he asks to hold her he says 'Want to hold it!' We need to work on him realizing Leah is not an 'it' :)

Kinda wish I had a dress like this...and little black dress shoes...and tights. Somehow I don't think it would look as good on me.

When Great Grandma sent him his birthday card it said 'Master Eli'. I kinda like that. I think I'm gonna start calling him Master Eli.

The only problem with these pictures is that I had such a hard time picking out my favorites :) My favorite family pictures is not posted...wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for my mom and dad :)

12.2.2011 Making Christmas Cards

In the grand tradition of our Christmas cards, the bottoms of our children's feet were painted again this year.
An idea I got off pintrist..ya know, because I rarely have an original idea ;)

The kids had a lot of fun, and it, believe it or not, really wasn't that messy.

12.1.2011 Making ornaments

Our first Advent activity for this year was to make Christmas ornaments. Pretty sure Eli just liked playing with all of the little pieces. It was fun though :)
Leah didn't really help much...but she sure was cute!

The finished product. Umm...yeah. I did about 90% of the work. Next year we need to do a more age-appropriate craft :)

Leah had fun getting into things she wasn't suppose to while we were working.

They got put on the tree and stayed there long enough to get this picture. Then Leah took them off and played with them. At least she liked them :)
