10 Months Old!

Well...it's that time again :) My baby is 10 months old today! Here's a few pictures...I tried to pick my favorite, but I just couldn't! He's just so stinkin' cute!

We went out to dinner tonight too. Unfortunately dad had an ambulance run, so he wasn't able to come. We went to 'Bob & Jamie's'. It was a good, hometown meal :) Grandpa & Grandma joined us.

Eli had some chicken & cottage cheese.

It was a nice time with family. We came home and played 'True Colors'. Randee won...apparently she 'knows herself'...Now we're all just sitting around contemplating going to bed.

Tomorrow is going to be a big day-Eli's going to his first Tiger's game! I hope I have enough room on my memory card (8GB) to hold all the pictures I'm gonna take... :)

Family Haircuts

One of our 'traditions' when coming home is to head to Randee's shop and get hair cuts. Well...this trip was no exception :) I got a Malibu treatment and while it set on my hair Randee taught me how to cut Edgar's hair so I can start cutting his hair from now on.

It went pretty good...

...and I didn't even cut myself :) Now I just gotta get some clippers.

The 'star' of the day, though, was Eli (of course...) He got his first hair cut today!

He sat really well, and didn't really get too squirmy.

I couldn't believe he was already getting his hair cut!

'No Picture' Wednesay

I've been working so hard to get my blog caught up today, that I didn't take one picture today! Can you believe it?!

Today was another pretty low-key day. We got up late...again. We had breakfast and played with Eli a little bit. I went for a run-I walked 1/2 mile, ran 3 (again! YAY!) then walked 1/2. I'm hoping to run 4 miles on Friday...we'll see...I might have to settle for 3 1/2. When I got back we went swimming. It's so much fun to swim with Eli! He loves the water, and has such a good time. He's super cute in the water too :) (boo...no pictures :( )

After lunch we went over to Grandpa & Grandma's house for a little visit, and then came home and put Eli down for a nap. We really haven't done much else :)

Tomorrow should be a big day...somebody is getting his first hair cut...There WILL be pictures. I promise :)

Terrific Tuesday

Tuesday started off...well...late. I woke up at 8:30 completely confused. Eli usually wakes up around 7 or 7:30, but it was 8:30, and he was still sleeping...and so was I :) Eli slept until 9:00-he hasn't done that in a very long time! Apparently the weekend wore him right out!

Mom and dad were working, so we had some 'family time' at the farm. Eli ate some breakfast and we played a little bit. Then we headed out to the Corn Maze.

We had fun getting a little lost in the corn field :)

Edgar protected Eli from all the corn stalks. Eli had a lot of fun going through. We did get lost for a little bit, but we figured our way out. For those of you that don't live in the country and have no idea what a corn maze is...it's...well...a maze in the corn :) When the corn is just planted Rick went through the field and mowed down a maze, then kept doing that as the corn grew. Now the corn is taller than your head, and there are trails through the corn. The trail is actually pretty long! During the fall, Chamber Ministries has dates when people can walk through it-people pay $3 to go through :) They are raising money for their ministry that way.

Julean was playing 'Peek-a-boo' with Eli. It was SO cute! Here's a video :)

The rest of Tuesday was pretty relaxing. We had leftovers for dinner and then went to Rick & Kristi's house once Eli went to bed. We helped them put a poster together for the missions conference they were going to and then we played Dominoes for a while. We had a lot of fun. Unfortunately they were leaving early Wednesday morning, so we had to say goodbye when we left. It was so much fun seeing them!

Labor Day

Labor Day finally arrived!

Eli enjoyed spending some time with Uncle Rick. Mom and Dad whipped up a big 'ol breakfast-Eggs, Pancakes (Edgar 'flipped' those) sausage, hash browns & cinnamon rolls. We all ate out in the shed...and I think I speak for everyone when I say we all ate too much :)

After breakfast we all headed to the pool. Julean likes to swim in the 'kiddie pool'. We tried to put Eli in it too, but he didn't like it very much...

Eli had way more fun in the 'big pool' with daddy :)

Eli sat in this 'panda boat' and had a GREAT time. I think he could have stayed in it all day!

A bunch of us went to the garage to help husk the corn. It was done in no time!

'Push, Julean!'

This is the finished product of the cookies I decorated. I made 38 cookies total. They were nice and colorful...and they tasted good too :)

Corn on the cob anyone? I think I goofed up...I said we had chicken on Sunday...actually we had hot dogs on Sunday. We had the chicken on Labor Day :) Super tasty!

This is a little video clip of Grandpa praying for lunch. It was pretty special to hear him pray. Every time I hear him pray it brings back memories of him praying in the past. His words get a little mixed up, but his prayers are heard :) (Oh...and, no, I didn't close my eyes during the prayer....)

The weekend was so incredibly nice. I am so glad we were able to be here to see everyone.

Most people left shortly after lunch. We spent the afternoon just hanging out. (Side note....I finally got my running shoes on and ran. I actually went 3 miles! Yahoo! That's the first time I ran 3 miles since before I was pregnant! It felt pretty good too) That evening we were all pretty exhausted. We kinda all parked in front of the tv and watched several 'King of Queen's' episodes. It was nice to just 'chill out' for a bit.
